Stanislaus deputies investigate shooting of man in southwest Modesto

Stanislaus County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday night in southwest Modesto.

Deputies were dispatched about 7:40 to the 900 block of Sutter Avenue on a report of a person shot, a sergeant said Monday morning.

An adult male was found shot and taken to a hospital for treatment. There was no word on his condition.

Anyone who witnessed the shooting or has information on it is urged to contact Stanislaus Area Crime Stoppers at 209-521-4636. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward. Tips also can be submitted via www.stancrimetips.org.
