A hit-and-run crash Wednesday morning badly damaged a south Modesto home but injured no one inside, the Modesto Fire Department reported.

Firefighters were dispatched about 5:18 a.m. to a report of a vehicle into a residence on the 1600 block of Pelton Avenue. They arrived to find that two cars in the driveway had been struck, pushing one of them into the home. The vehicle that struck them had fled the scene, according to a battalion chief’s incident report.

There were no reported injuries, the incident summary said, and firefighters checked the structural integrity of the residence. Power to the home was secured.

Police are investigating the hit-and-run. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Stanislaus Area Crime Stoppers at 209-521-4636. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward. Tips also can be submitted via www.stancrimetips.org.
