Ceres man killed in shooting on Yosemite Boulevard in Modesto

A shooting on Yosemite Boulevard in Modesto late Monday left one person dead, police reported. The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as a 22-year-old Ceres resident, Miguel Facha.

Calls about the shooting came in about 10:45 p.m., Police Department spokeswoman Sharon Bear said Tuesday morning. Officers who responded to the 1600 block of Yosemite found a man suffering at least one gunshot wound. Facha was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where he died. The victim was the only person shot, Bear said.
