Man shot to death in south Modesto
A a 38-year-old man was shot to death on a south Modesto street Sunday evening, according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies were dispatched to the shooting in the 1300 block of Bystrum Road, just east of Highway 99 and north of Hatch Road, at 9:36 p.m.
They found the victim, a Modesto resident, deceased in the street, said Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Lt. Josh Clayton.
“There is currently no suspect information and the victim’s identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification,” he said.
