Update: Two people shot in east Modesto just north of Yosemite Boulevard
Two people were wounded in a drive-by shooting Friday afternoon in east Modesto, police said.
Just before 2 p.m., dispatchers received a call about a shooting near the corner of Haddon Avenue and North Riverside Drive, just north of Yosemite Boulevard.
When they arrived, officers found two men, believed to be adults, near the front of a house, Sgt. Steve Hinkley of the Modesto Police Department said at the scene.
The two were taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital. Both are expected to survive their injuries, Hinkley said.
There was no information released on possible suspects or motive.
