Police arrest two people in west Modesto assault and robbery. Four remain at large
Police arrested two people Wednesday and are seeking four others in an assault and robbery in west Modesto last month.
The crimes happened at about 3 a.m. March 18 in a market parking lot in the area of Sutter and Rouse avenues, the Modesto Police Department said in a Facebook post. The two victims suffered serious injuries, police said.
Officers served six search warrants Wednesday that resulted in the arrests of Modesto residents Allen Douangkham, 26, and Alexandria Julia Nevarez, 24.
Police said the operation also led to the seizure, at a home on El Dorado Avenue in west Modesto, of 18 firearms, more than 100 pounds of processed marijuana and 10 pounds of concentrated cannabis.
Officers are still looking for Modesto residents Angelo Jacobo, 22; Jonathan Sangster, 23; Darin Phaing, 21; and Frank Gray, 21.
Douangkham was booked at the Stanislaus County Jail on charges of attempted murder, robbery, assault, mayhem, promoting a criminal street gang, and criminal conspiracy. He remained there as of Thursday evening on $1.2 million bail.
Nevarez was booked at the jail on charges of robbery, assault and criminal conspiracy. She remained there Thursday evening on $100,000 bail.
