Ripon man arrested in stabbing

Ripon police early Thursday morning arrested a man suspected of stabbing a family member in the chest.

The Ripon Police Department responded to a home in the 900 block of Kirk Court at about 1:45 p.m. regarding a medical emergency.

Officers found the victim had been stabbed twice in the chest. The victim was taken by the Ripon Fire Department to a local hospital.

Detectives arrested Jonathan Ross, 30, of Ripon, on suspicion of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon. Police say he lives with and is related to the suspect.
