Masked gunmen rob bank in Riverbank, flee with cash, sheriff's office reports
Three masked gunmen robbed Wells Fargo Bank in Riverbank on Wednesday, the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department reported.
The "takeover style" robbery happened at about 2 p.m. at the branch in the Crossroads shopping center on Claribel Road, Sgt. Jesus Sigala said.
The robbers took an undisclosed amount of money and fled north on Oakdale Road in a sport utility vehicle, he said. They remained at large as of 10 p.m. Wednesday night.
