Oakdale police arrest suspected prostitute at massage parlor
Oakdale police arrested a woman suspected of soliciting prostitution at a local massage parlor.
Detectives and officers from the Oakdale Police Department, with assistance from an allied agency, conducted an undercover operation Wednesday at Island Spa, 730 E. F St., according to Sgt. Joe Johnson.
An undercover operative entered the business just after 2 p.m. and paid the advertised price for a one-hour massage. During the course of the massage, the operative was propositioned by the masseuse for a sex act, Johnson said in a news release.
The masseuse, 54-year-old Seo Son Sun of Galt, was arrested on suspicion of solicitation of prostitution, a misdemeanor.
Johnson said the name of the allied agency that assisted in the investigation was withheld to protect the integrity of the undercover operative.
