Man seriously wounded in Turlock shooting

Responding to reports of several shots fired, Turlock police on Tuesday morning arrived in the 600 block of 20th Century Boulevard to find a man suffering from several life-threatening gunshots wounds to his legs and lower back.

Officer Mayra Lewis, Turlock Police Department spokeswoman, said the 44-year-old was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The shooting occurred about 3:40 a.m. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Detective Tim Redd at (209) 664-7345.
