Footage of armed robbery doesn't get much clearer
Manteca police are trying to identify the man who robbed a convenience store about 10:40 Sunday night.
The man, described as 20 to 25 years old, approached the counter at the am/pm minimarket at 1100 S. Main St. Police say he pulled a handgun from his waistband and demanded money. In the video, it looks like the gun is wrapped in a bandanna or plastic grocery bag.
The clerk, alone in the store, turned over money from the register and was not harmed.
Video footage also shows the suspect outside the store prior to the robbery, as well as his vehicle leaving through the parking lot.
Anyone with information on the suspect is urged to call the Manteca Police Department at 209-456-8101. Reference case 2018-07638.
