Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department investigates shooting in Patterson

The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a shooting in Patterson on Friday afternoon.

At about 3:15 p.m., deputies were called to the 500 block of Second Street – Highway 33 – on a report of a person shot, according to Deputy Royjindar Singh of the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department.

When they arrived, they found the victim, who was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital. The victim's condition was not immediately known.

There were varying descriptions of a possible vehicle involved, but no suspect information was available at this point of the investigation.

Expect delays on Highway 33 between Sperry and Las Palmas avenues.
