Turlock police search for suspects who robbed Wayside Market
Turlock police are looking for two men who robbed at gunpoint the Wayside Market just north of downtown.
The incident was caught on surveillance video.
According to Sgt. Russ Holeman, two men in their late teens or early 20s entered the business at 735 Wayside Drive at about 6:20 p.m. on Wednesday.
One man, described as about 6 feet tall and wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans, pointed a semi-automatic gun at the teller. The other suspect, described as about 5-foot-8 and wearing a gray hoodie and blue jeans, hopped over the counter and stole an undetermined amount of cash.
The two, who both also were wearing bandanas to cover their faces, ran from the market west on Wayside and then south on Kenwood Avenue
Nobody inside the store was injured. There were no reports of a vehicle involved in the crime.
