Ceres police searching for man suspected of 'inappropriately touching' girls

Police investigators on Tuesday afternoon were looking for an Oklahoma man wanted on suspicion of "inappropriately touching" several girls in Ceres.

Christopher Porter was identified as the suspect in a molestation case, and he is wanted for questioning, according to a news release posted on the Ceres Police Department's Facebook page.

Detectives say there's a possibility Porter could be leaving California for Oklahoma. His last known whereabouts was in Modesto.

Detectives are asking the public's help in finding Porter.

Police offcials ask anyone with information on Porter's whereabouts to call Detective Julio Amador at (209) 538-5729 or Crime Stoppers at (209) 521-4636. Tipsters can email through the Crime Stoppers website, www.stancrimetips.org. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and are eligible for a cash reward.
