Man found with gunshot wound in south Modesto

A man with a gunshot wound was found early Sunday in south Modesto, but he didn’t have any information about who shot him or where the shooting occurred, police said.

The injured man was found about 2 a.m. near Crows Landing Road and Glenn Avenue, said Modesto police Sgt. Steven Stanfield. The man suffered a gunshot wound on his arm, but the injury appeared to be nonlife-threatening.

Stanfield said the man could not provide investigating officers any suspect descriptions or information about where the shooting occurred. It’s unclear to police whether the man just didn’t have that information or he was refusing to cooperate with the officers.

The man was treated by medics and hospitalized but was expected to survive.
