Sheriff's detectives are asking the public’s help in identifying the armed robber of an AM-PM mini-mart on Oakdale Road early Thursday morning.

The man, dressed in a black hooded sweatshirt, entered the business about 1:30 a.m., approached the counter and said, “Give me all your money.”

The man lifted up the right side of his sweatshirt to display a black semiautomatic handgun in his waistband.

The store clerk handed over about $100 cash to the man, who then fled the store in an eastbound direction on foot, according to detectives.

The man is described as Asian or Latino, in his early 20s. He is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds. He also was wearing a black beanie, black-frame prescription glasses, black cargo pants, black tennis shoes and greenish-blue gloves.

Anyone with any information regarding the robbery investigation is asked to contact Detective Jon Gingerich with Riverbank Police Services at (209) 863-7146. Anonymous tips can be left by calling Crime Stoppers at (209) 521-4636.
