Firearms and ammunition stolen from Turlock gun store
Firearms and ammunition were stolen from a Turlock gun store Wednesday morning, according to police.
Officers responded to Alquist Arms on South Center Street just before 8 a.m. after the store’s owner said an audible alarm was sounding at the business and the rear door was open, said officer Mayra Lewis. She did not know how the owner was alerted to the alarm.
Lewis said “numerous” firearms and ammunition were taken from the store, but she would not say what kind or how much.
She said the suspect or suspects forced entry into the business through the back door. No suspects had been identified as of Wednesday evening.
