Fight on casino gaming floor leads to arrest of Copperoplis man

Drawing attention to himself in a place full of security officers and cameras did not end well for a Copperopolis man Monday night.

Tuolumne County Sheriff's deputies were called to the Black Oak Casino, where Tommy High, 21, was involved in a verbal argument with another patron on the gaming room floor.

High, it turned out, had multiple warrants for his arrest.

Casino security met deputies in the third floor of the casino parking garage where they found and arrested High.

He had warrants in Tuolumne County for committing a felony while out on bail, identity theft, drug possession, conspiracy to commit a crime, violation of probation and failing to appear in court. He also had a warrant out of Modesto for failing to appear in court on a stolen vehicle charge, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Deputies searched High and found 10 grams of methamphetamine and a glass methamphetamine pipe.

Further investigation determined the Acura Integra he drove to the casino in had been stolen from Stockton four days prior. The license plate on the car was issued to a Nissan, not the Acura.

High was booked into the Tuolumne County Jail for his warrants and additional charges including possession of a stolen car, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a methamphetamine pipe and displaying false license plates.
