Modesto police looking suspects in armed market robbery

Modesto Police are looking for two men who robbed the College Market in Modesto on Friday evening.

The men entered the market at 2110 College Ave., north of Briggsmore Avenue, at about 6:30 p.m. Both were armed with handguns, said Modesto Police Lt. Tom Ciccarelli.

They demanded money from the clerk and left with a little more than $100 in cash.

The men were last seen walking through Whitmore Park across the street.

Both were described as wearing light-colored hooded sweatshirts that partially concealed their faces and dark pants, Ciccarelli said.
