SWAT team shuts down street, searches home near Modesto High
Modesto High School was locked down Thursday morning while The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Special Team Investigating Narcotics and Gangs (STING), along with SWAT, served a search warrant at a home in the 800 block of Fourth Street on Friday morning.
The Sheriff Department and Ceres SWAT teams spent several hours securing the home and other structures on the property so it could be searched by STING detectives, said Lt. Mike Radford.
Authorities would not say who or what the team was looking for, only that the warrant was not related to a murder investigation.
The sheriff's Department did not provide information about whether any arrests were made.
