An armed man sought in other burglaries in the same area struck twice in Manteca on Thursday. He broke into two duplexes on South Veach Avenue.

The man first knocked on the front doors and then pulled into the alley in a gold minivan, according to a Facebook post by Manteca police. He kicked the back door open on one duplex and forced a window open on the other.

The suspect escaped with televisions, jewelry and other items from both residences.

Police posted he pulled a handgun from his pocket as he approached the backyards. It was not clear Friday afternoon whether that information came from witnesses or surveillance cameras that show more than the peephole-cam footage posted on Facebook.

The other residential burglaries by the same man have been within the past couple of months.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information on the burglaries is asked to call the Manteca Police Department at 209-456-8101. Reference cases 17-37490 and 17-37494.

Because the man is believed to be armed and dangerous, anyone who spots him should call 911 but not approach him, police warn.
