Man injured in suspected Modesto drive-by shooting

A suspected drive-by shooting in Modesto’s Airport Neighborhood left one man with non-life threatening injuries on Tuesday morning.

The shooting occurred at about 9 a.m. in the 400 block of Kerr Avenue

Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department detectives are investigating. There are no suspects in custody.

The victim was shot in the buttocks, according to Modesto Police Department spokesperson Heather Graves.

There were uncomfirmed reports that the man was outside working on a vehicle when he was shot.

There has been no suspect or vehicle description disclosed.
