Trying to break into ATMs didn’t work, police say, but the camera did perfectly
Turlock police are looking for help in identifying a man they say on four separate occasions tried to break into ATMs at two locations on Geer Road this week.
The theft attempts were made Sunday at 5:44 a.m. at Chase Bank, 2091 Geer, and Sunday at 5:31 a.m. and Monday at 2:33 and 10:34 a.m., all at Farmers and Merchants, 2340 Geer.
His only success was in being caught on camera.
The Turlock Police Department posted photographs of the man on its Facebook page and ask anyone who recognizes him to call Crime Stoppers. The 24-hour anonymous tip line is 1-866-602-7463. Anonymous tips also may be made by texting to 274637 and including “tip 704” in the message, or going to www.stancrimetips.org and clicking on “send a tip.”
