Ceres police are seeking the public’s help in three males who robbed Richland Liquors, 1805 Richland Ave., holding a clerk at gunpoint.

The three, all wearing hoodie sweat shirts, entered the store about 2:20 in the afternoon on June 3.

The first one through the door pointed a black handgun at the clerk, jumped over the counter and demanded the money from the register, police said in a post on Facebook on Tuesday.

The second suspect also went over the counter and assisted in the robbery. The third stole cigarettes and several bottles of alcohol. All three then fled on foot.

The clerk provided a clothing description for all three suspects, police said. The description in the Facebook post is limited to the clerk saying one suspect may be black or Latino, and the other two may be white non-Latinos.

Anyone with information regarding on the robbery is encouraged to call the Ceres Police Department Tip Hotline at 209-538-5740 or Detective Bryan Ferreira at 209-538-5616. Callers may remain anonymous.
