Stanislaus County sheriff’s deputies have identified a suspect in a fatal stabbing that occurred in south Modesto on Thursday afternoon.

Investigators are looking for Adam Goodman, 30. According to a news release, Goodman also is known as “Chubs.” He is described as white, 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 194 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Goodman has tattoos over his left eye and on his chin and neck.

The suspect last was seen wearing a black hat, black T-shirt and jeans with an “Ed Hardy” design on the back of them.

Authorities said Goodman should be considered armed and dangerous; they ask anyone who sees him to call 911 immediately.

Goodman is a suspect in the death of a 36-year-old Modesto man Thursday. According to Deputy Anthony Bejaran, department spokesman, deputies responded to a call in the 600 block of South Seventh Street at 2:15 p.m.. The site is the location of a mobile home complex.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Authorities have not released his name.
