Man stabbed to death in south Modesto

Stanislaus County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred in south Modesto.

According to deputy Anthony Bejaran, department spokesman, deputies responded to a call in the 600 block of South Seventh Street. The site is the location of a mobile home complex.

The incident was reported at 2:15 p.m.

The victim, identified only as a 36-year-old Modesto man, was taken to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Authorities did not release the victim’s name because his family had not been notified.

Detectives remained at the scene for several hours, processing evidence and interviewing witnesses.

As of Thursday evening, there was no suspect information.
