South Modesto teen arrested in stabbing
A 16-year-old south Modesto boy was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of stabbing his mother’s boyfriend. He sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital.
Stanislaus County sheriff’s Sgt. Jon McQueary said the stabbing took place about 11:30 p.m. Saturday at a residence in the 900 block of Sonora Avenue. McQueary said the boyfriend arrived at the residence to see his girlfriend. The girlfriend was not feeling well and her son told the boyfriend he could not visit.
McQueary said the teenager told the boyfriend that he would stab him unless he left the residence. The man was stabbed in his arm and chest.
McQueary said the teenager was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and taken to Juvenile Hall.
