Task force makes truck-theft arrest outside Modesto motel

The California Highway Patrol arrested a truck-theft suspect Monday afternoon outside the American Budget Inn & Suites on Kansas Avenue in Modesto.

Officers identified the truck, which was reported stolen in November, and tailed the suspect, who was taken into custody without incident, authorities said.

The suspect was not named.
