Patrol car hits tree during pursuit
A Stanislaus County sheriff’s deputy suffered minor injuries when his patrol car hit a tree during a Sunday afternoon pursuit at Eighth and K streets, the Modesto Police Department reported. A man suspected of leading the pursuit was later arrested on Tuolumne Boulevard, but his name and charges could not be confirmed as of Sunday evening. The unidentified deputy was taken to a hospital for treatment, police Lt. Aaron Tait said.
