Authorities identify woman shot to death near Waterford

The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department on Monday identified a Waterford woman shot to death early Sunday. Jennifer Jeanne Ventura, 42, died in the incident, according to Deputy Anthony Bejaran.

Deputies were dispatched to 22742 Yosemite Blvd. at 1:45 a.m. Ventura, who had a gunshot wound to the upper body, died at the scene, authorities said Sunday.

No arrests had been made.

Bejaran said no further information was available Monday.
