Seven sent to hospitals in Modesto crash
Seven people, including two children, were taken by ambulance to local hospitals with mild to moderate injuries suffered in a four-vehicle crash at Coffee and Claribel roads just after noon Monday. One vehicle rear-ended another stopped at the intersection, causing a chain reaction, according to the California Highway Patrol. The rear-ended vehicle was propelled into the car stopped in front of it, which sent that car forward into the path of an oncoming vehicle. The intersection was blocked temporarily while emergency crews treated patients and tow trucks cleared the roadway of the damaged vehicles.
