Motorcyclist dies in Patterson crash

A motorcyclist died Friday night in a solo crash at South Salado Avenue and South Second Street in Patterson, the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department said Saturday.

Deputies assigned to Patterson Police Services were called to the scene at 7:30 p.m. for Henry Zepeda Chavez, 44, of Patterson, who was unresponsive and not breathing. They performed lifesaving efforts until emergency medical personnel arrived.

Chavez was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel. Deputies requested assistance from the California Highway Patrol major accident investigation team to conduct the investigation.
