Where: St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1813 Oakdale Road
Info: The Knights of Columbus is hosting a Blue Mass to recognize past and present first responders of Stanislaus County. The event will feature color guards representing the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department, police and fire departments and the 4th degree Knights in a procession into the church. Mass will follow. YESTERYEARS
25 YEARS AGO: David A. Wurm, Stanislaus County clerk-recorder, submitted a letter of resignation to the Board of Supervisors. The letter came two months after Wurm announced he would not seek re-election to the same post. He had told The Bee, at the time of his first announcement, that he had plans to start a public relations firm.
