Turlock court branch to reopen Jan. 4

Stanislaus Superior Court on Jan. 4 will reopen its Turlock branch, providing a courtroom for small claims and unlawful detainer cases three days a week.

Court officials on Tuesday announced the reopening of the branch, which will be known as the Turlock Division. The court building is at 300 Starr Ave., between Denair Avenue and Palm Street.

The Turlock courtroom will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The clerk’s office at the Turlock branch will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, and 8 a.m. to noon Fridays.

The Turlock Division also houses the newly established Records Division, which is scanning all documents to create digital case files as the Stanislaus court moves toward a paperless records system.

Repurposed workstations, courtroom seating and other equipment from the Los Angeles and Yolo superior courts were installed in the Turlock court building, which was closed in 2009 due to budget cuts.
