Kaiser names top exec over health facilities in Central Valley region
Deborah “Deb” Friberg has been given the permanent job of overseeing hospitals and clinics in Kaiser Permanente’s Central Valley region.
Friberg had served as interim vice president and area manager for the service area. The former top executive, Corwin Harper, became the area manager for Kaiser Permanente’s Napa and Solano service area.
“Since coming to Kaiser Permanente five months ago,” Friberg said, “I’ve been extremely impressed with the quality of care and the diligent work performed by our physicians, nurses and staff at keeping our members healthy.”
According to a Kaiser press release, Friberg has more than 20 years of experience in hospital operations, marketing and product line management.
She was president of the hospital division for Columbia St. Mary’s, a 630-bed health system in Milwaukee, Wis. She also held executive positions at WakeMed Health and Hospitals in Raleigh, N.C.
Kaiser’s Central Valley service area includes health care facilities in Stanislaus and San Joaquin counties. Friberg will oversee the Kaiser hospitals and clinics in Modesto and Manteca and the medical offices in Tracy and Stockton.
Kaiser Permanente is a nonprofit health system based in Oakland with 9.3 million members in eight states and the District of Columbia.
