What: HARVEST CARNIVAL

Where: Modesto Junior College West Campus, Mary Stuart Rogers Student Learning Center, 2201 Blue Gum Ave.
Info: Associated Students of Modesto Junior College is hosting a community Harvest Carnival featuring games, crafts, square dancing and food. What: GLOW IN THE DARK GEOMETRY

Info: Preschoolers are invited to participate in the “Glow in the Dark Geometry” presentation, featuring the opportunity to learn through play and creation of shapes and patterns using glow sticks. What: WINTER FARM AND CONSTRUCTION TOY SHOW

What: CRAFT-O-PALOOZA

Where: Denair branch of the Stanislaus County Library, 4801 Kersey Road

YESTERYEARS
50 YEARS AGO: In a state-proposed plan, Stanislaus County’s 37 school districts would be consolidated into five school districts, if voters approved the plan. The plan was presented to 36 of 37 school district representatives at the Modesto High School cafeteria. The proposed five new districts would be Modesto and Hughson, Oakdale, Turlock, Ceres, and Patterson.
