Cooler temperatures, possible rain ahead for Modesto
The work week is off to a mild start, and cooler temperatures and a chance of rain lie ahead.
Monday’s high is expected to hit about 75 degrees; that’s the warmest day of the week, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures start to dip on Tuesday, with a high of 70 and a low of 49 expected on Veterans Day.
Patchy fog is expected in the night and morning hours; officials urge drivers to allow extra time to get to their destinations and take care on the roads.
The sunshine will make way for clouds on Wednesday evening and into Thursday, when forecasters set the odds of rain for Modesto at 40 percent. The high then will reach the upper 60s, with lows in the lower 50s.
The system should clear out by Friday, forecasters say, leaving sunny conditions and a high of 68.
