What: PUPPET ART THEATER

Info: Puppet Art Theater will perform an “updated, zany version” of “The Boy Who Cried Wolf.” Children and families can watch as this interactive puppet show brings to life this classic tale, complete with audience participation. What: VETERANS DAY OBSERVANCE

Info: This annual Veterans Day observance is hosted by American Legion Post 190 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1051. The event will recognize “The Cold War Veterans,” with colors presented by Ripon High School’s JROTC. Guest speakers will include a representative from Assemblywoman Kristin Olsen’s office and retired Army Lt. Col. Patrick Dun.
Atwater
What: AIRCRAFT DEDICATION

Info: A grand dedication will be held for a Douglas VC-9 presidential aircraft recently moved to the museum site. The ceremony dedicating the aircraft will take place at 10 a.m., with tours of the aircraft available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tours cost $10 per person. What: BIRDING OUTING

100 YEARS AGO: The Modesto High School boys basketball team defeated Ripon High School, 83-12. The contest was held at the Christian Association gymnasium.
