Hollywood’s Dance Masters visited Mae Hensley Junior High School in Ceres on Monday. Five performers from the organization, started by Los Angeles Unified School District teacher Jarrod Taylor in 2003, gave a dance presentation and talked to students about following their passion and staying away from drugs, alcohol and gangs. The dancers perform acrobatics, gymnastics and break dancing. They have been featured on America’s Got Talent, Dancing with the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, America’s Best Dance Crew, various Step Up movies and have been backup dancers for Jennifer Lopez and others. They will visit schools in the area all week, stopping at Central Valley High School on Tuesday, Ceres High School on Wednesday and Ripon High School on Thursday. Tuesday evening, the dancers will conduct a workshop on popping and robot dancing at Footnotes Dance Studio in Ceres. The cost is $20. A performance Wednesday evening is open to the public in the Ceres High gymnasium at 7 p.m. Admission is $5.
