Town hall on Ebola preparation

A town hall meeting is set for Sunday in Manteca on preparations for Ebola. A panel also will discuss current issues in the health care system.

Nurses who work for Kaiser Permanente, Sutter Health and Dignity Health will form a panel to discuss the lack of training for health care workers in event that patients infected with Ebola are hospitalized in California.

So far, the Ebola epidemic in west Africa has not resulted in any cases in California.

The California Nurses Association is sponsoring the forum, which starts at 4 p.m. Sunday at the First Christian Church in Manteca, corner of North Union Road and West Louise Avenue.
