Cooler weekend ahead for Modesto, with a chance of rain

After a warm, sunny Friday, a cooler, breezier weekend looms. And, according to the National Weather Service, the Modesto area has a 30 percent chance of rain.

Friday is expected to be sunny, with a high of 83 degrees. Clouds and winds will move in on Saturday, forecasters say, with gusts of up to 26 mph. Cooler conditions are expected, as well, with a high of 74 Saturday.

The chance of rain will continue into Saturday night, when low temperatures will drop into the upper 50s.

Sunday will be sunny but cooler, forecasters say, with a high of 70 and lows dipping into the upper 40s.
