Westside Ministries in Turlock offers an aerial dance class through its Center for Urban Performance and Service’s dance and music ministry. CUPS is “dedicated to training children, youth and adults to become skillful worshipers of Christ through the creative arts,” according to the Westside website. Among its other classes are ballet, flags, hip-hop, jazz dance, tumbling and tap. “Our unique classes combine technical training while maintaining a heart of worship,” the website says. “...Dancers are taught to use their talents and abilities to glorify God, as well as serve others.” For more on Westside’s CUPS ministry, including costs, a brochure and a schedule, go to www.westsideministriesturlock.com and scroll down to the CUPS link.
