Will there be more triple-digit weather hitting Modesto? What to expect this week

weather update

Things got heated in the Modesto region this past week, but it looks like the weather will ease.

That’s good news for folks planning on visiting the final day of the Stanislaus County Fair in Turlock on Sunday.

It hit 102 degrees in Modesto, both Wednesday and Thursday, according to the Modesto Irrigation District website. The temperatures fell to the lower 90s the rest of the week.

There are no triple digits thus far in the forecast from the National Weather Service. It predicts highs in the mid-90s through Friday.

Here’s a look at the daily weather service predictions for the coming days:

  • Sunday, July 19: Sunny, with a high near 95 degrees and a low around 66.
  • Monday, July 20: Sunny, near 94 degrees, low 67.
  • Tuesday, July 21: Mostly sunny and hotter, with a high near 96, a low of 68.
  • Wednesday, July 22: A near repeat of Tuesday at 96 degrees, with a low of 65.
  • Thursday, July 23: Sunny, 94, low 63.
  • Friday, July 24: The same, sunny and a high of 94 (no low logged as of early Saturday afternoon).
