Stanislaus County gasoline prices averaged $5.20 per gallon in the latest weekly survey by gasbuddy.com. The July 13 figure was down 0.6 cents from a week earlier and 47.8 cents from a month ago.

The cheapest of the 201 stations in the latest report was $4.69 a gallon at Marathon in Oakdale. The priciest was $5.99 at a station that was not identified. The survey is for regular-grade fuel.

Prices had surged in the county and beyond with the war in Iran earlier this year. The local average was $4.16 a gallon a year ago.

Gasbuddy’s latest nationwide average is $3.82 a gallon, the first uptick in eight weeks. It was 71 cents lower than July 2025.

California has a fuel tax of $63.4 cents, spent on road and transit improvements. Other fees go to various clean-air efforts.
