Firefighters are battling a vegetation blaze that broke out east of Modesto Reservoir on Thursday afternoon.

The Rushing Fire near the 1900 block of Crabtree Road has burned about 11 acres with zero containment, the Cal Fire Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit reports.

Five engines, one bulldozer and 53 personnel members are assigned to the fire, in addition to air tankers being flown for fire suppression missions as conditions allow. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

No injuries or compromised structures have been reported. Around 3:40 p.m., Cal Fire posted on Facebook that it had stopped forward progress of the fire.
