Vehicle strikes and kills pedestrian on Crows Landing Road, Modesto police report
A vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian on Crows Landing Road late Tuesday, the Modesto Police Department reported.
The name of the deceased person was not available Wednesday morning. The crash was reported at about 10:10 p.m. at Pueblo Avenue, according to the Modesto Fire Department’s daily incident summary.
Police could not be reached for more details, including whether the driver cooperated at the scene. A department Facebook post did not indicate that it was a hit-and-run case.
An ambulance crew declared the pedestrian dead at the scene, MFD said. Traffic was detoured from all lanes of Crows Landing Road.
