Store hours can vary by location, so be sure to call ahead or check the store’s website.
Here’s when local supermarkets and other retailers will be open on Monday, May 25, for Memorial Day and which will be closed:
- BevMo!: Open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Cost Less: Open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Costco: Closed.
- Food 4 Less: Open 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- FoodMaxx: Open 6 a.m. to midnight.
- Grocery Outlet: Open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- O’Brien’s Market: Open 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Raley’s/Bel Air: Open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Safeway: Open 5 a.m. Monday to 2 a.m. Tuesday.
- Save Mart: Open 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Sprouts: Open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Target: Open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Is Vintage Faire Mall open on Memorial Day 2026?
Vintage Faire Mall will be open for Memorial Day on Monday, May 25.
While individual restaurants and retailers can have different hours, the mall will operate from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Are pharmacies open for Memorial Day in the Modesto area?
If you need to pick up a prescription or stop by the drugstore on Memorial Day, here’s when to go:
- CVS: Store open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.; pharmacy open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Walgreens: Store open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.; pharmacy open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

What’s closed on Memorial Day in the Modesto area?
Most government offices in Stanislaus County, including the California Department of Motor Vehicles, U.S. Postal Service and public libraries, will be closed on Memorial Day — Monday, May 25.
Most banks will also be closed for the holiday.
Package delivery companies including FedEx and UPS will have modified office hours on Memorial Day, and won’t deliver packages.
