One person ejected from vehicle in crash in northwest Modesto

Breaking News

The Modesto Police Department responded to a major injury crash that involved two vehicles at Pelandale Avenue and Prescott Road on Saturday morning.

According to the Modesto Fire Department, the call was received around 8 a.m. One of the drivers was taken to Doctors Medical Center after being ejected from a vehicle.

When emergency medical services arrived at the scene, bystanders were providing CPR to the man, according to Jim Black, a spokesperson for the Modesto Fire Department. “They regained pulses and transported him to DMC,” Black said.

A second person suffered minor injuries and also was transported to the local hospital, but Black said he had no updates on the conditions of either.

Prescott and Pelandale remained closed as of late Saturday afternoon while the Modesto Police Department investigated the incident.
