Think your pet is the cutest in Stanislaus County?
The Modesto Bee is hosting a competition to find the area’s cutest cat and dog.
We’ll hold two separate contests — one for cats and one for dogs — to see which pets take the top spot.
To see if your pet has what it takes to win, here’s how to enter:
How to enter The Modesto Bee’s cutest pet contest
To enter your cat or dog in the contest, submit a photo of your pet, along with their name and details, no later than noon on Thursday, Oct. 16.
Anyone living in Stanislaus County can enter their cats or dogs in the contest. Fill out a separate entry form for each pet you want to submit.
How can I submit my cat for the contest?

If more than 50 submissions are received, a newsroom committee made up of Modesto Bee pet lovers will choose the top 50 from the submissions.
The top 50 cats and the top 50 dogs will move on to the public voting rounds.
Once voting begins, you can cast your vote as many times as you like.
When does voting begin for cutest dogs and cats?
Voting will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 20, and end at midnight on Wednesday, Oct. 22.
The top 10 dogs and cats will move on for the second round, with voting starting at noon on Thursday, Oct. 23.
Voting for Round 2 ends at midnight on Monday, Oct. 27.
Winners will be announced at Monday, Nov. 3, on modbee.com.
Cutest cat and dog contests are taking place at more than 20 McClatchy newspapers across the country. The winners from each market will automatically be entered into a second contest to determine the Cutest Cat and Cutest Dog in the country, launching Monday, Nov. 10.
