Motorcyclist dies in crash near Briggsmore and Coffee in Modesto
A man died Monday night after a solo motorcycle crash near the intersection of Briggsmore Avenue and Coffee Road, according to the Modesto Police Department.
Department spokesperson Sharon Bear said the collision happened a little after 8 p.m. No other vehicles were involved.
The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office identified the rider as Edward Duran, 53, of Hollister.
Eastbound Briggsmore Avenue between Sunrise Avenue and Coffee Road was closed for the investigation following the crash. The department’s Traffic Safety Unit is handling the case.
Police said updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
